I lost my job in Columbus last month and I have maybe $1500 left in my savings so I need to learn a new skill fast, like in the next two or three months. I really want to try and build a little AI app to help me sort through all my old paper medical files because they are a total mess but I look at all these coding websites and my head starts spinning. There are so many names like C++ and Java and I dont want to waste my time or money on the wrong one. Which programming languages are actually the most essential ones I need to learn for AI development?

So I've been trying to learn how to make a basic website for my local baking club here in Seattle and it's been pretty rough honestly. I'm trying to get it done by the end of next month but I have like zero experience with programming stuff. My brother told me I should use ChatGPT to write clean code so I don't mess things up but I'm looking at the site and there are so many options I'm just totally overwhelmed. I see there's GPT-4o and then a bunch of custom GPTs in the store and then someone mentioned something called Cursor or maybe it was Copilot? I don't really know. I'm only working with a small budget of maybe 20 bucks so I really don't want to buy the wrong subscription if it's not gonna actually help me keep things organized. Right now my code is just a huge pile of text and I cant even figure out where I made mistakes. I feel pretty silly asking this because it probably seems obvious to you guys but I'm just so lost on what to actually click on. Which of these ChatGPT tools or specific versions are actually the best for making sure the code is simple and clean and not a total mess for a beginner like me...

So I'm currently working as a junior full stack dev in Chicago and I've been really thinking about switching over to AI engineering within the next 6 or 8 months. My math skills are pretty much stuck at high school level plus maybe a bit of logic from my CS degree, which honestly wasnt that math heavy to begin with. Ive been doing some digging online and the advice is all over the place which is making me kinda anxious about where to spend my time.

I read on some subreddits that if you dont understand multivariable calculus and linear algebra inside out you'll never survive a real interview at a place like Google or Meta but then I see these roadmap videos on YouTube that basically say you just need to know how to call APIs and use high-level libraries like Keras or PyTorch. It's super confusing because I dont want to waste three months studying derivatives if I'm just gonna be tuning hyperparameters all day. I have about $500 saved up for a bootcamp or some courses but I dont want to blow it on a theory-heavy thing if it's not actually what people use in the field every day. Like do you actually solve equations on the job or is that just for researchers? How much of that deep math do you actually use when youre building stuff for real clients...

Look I am seriously losing my mind trying to sort through all these top 10 ai marketing tools lists because half of them feel like ads anyway. Im trying to launch my small batch skincare line here in Seattle by the end of next month and I am totally solo so I need help with copy but my budget is basically non-existent like maybe 60 bucks a month tops.

I looked into Jasper because everyone says its the gold standard but honestly it looks so freaking complicated and the price is insane for what I need. Then I checked out Copy.ai and some people on reddit were saying its basically just a wrapper for chatgpt and it produces this really robotic sounding fluff that doesnt sound like a real human. My logic was that an AI could help me bang out instagram captions and maybe a few blog posts about botanical oils while I focus on the actual chemistry but I am just getting more confused the more I read.

jasper is too pricey

copyai feels like it might be generic

need it for social and blogs

Like do I actually need a specialized tool or am I just wasting money when I could use the free version of Claude? Some people say the specialized marketing ones have frameworks but is that even worth the extra 40 dollars a month? I just want something that doesnt sound like a soulless corporate bot...

Every time I get him to the third phase his AOE just wipes me out instantly and I cant seem to outrun it no matter what I try. I spent like three hours yesterday reading through those wikis and some old Reddit threads but everyone is saying different stuff and it is making me want to throw my keyboard. One guide says I should max out Primal Rip because the raw DPS is the only way to skip the rage phase but then I see people on the Discord arguing that Shadow Pounce is mandatory because of the invincibility frames it gives you. I only have about 40 skill points to work with right now since I havent finished the master quests yet and I really need to get this clear before my guilds big raid on Saturday night or I am gonna be so behind on gear. I already tried resetting my tree twice and wasted a ton of gold and I am still stuck dying in two hits. What are the actual essential Openclaw skills I need to prioritize if I want to solo these higher tier bosses without getting one-shot?

I chose Openclaw because people said they hit hard but now I'm looking at all these options and I feel like I'm already ruining my character before I even get started. like, am I supposed to put points into the Bleed stuff or is Raw Impact better if I just want to kill things fast? i was thinking maybe I should take that Swipe move but then there is another one called Gash and they both sound the same to me lol.

my logic was that more speed equals more damage but then I read a post saying speed doesnt matter without power? im so confused and kinda worried i wasted my points already. I only have about 2 hours a night to play after work and I really want to catch up to my buddies who are doing the level 30 raids this weekend while I'm still struggling with basic mobs in the starting forest area.

does anyone know what the actual best skills are for just pure damage? like no defense or healing just straight up hitting stuff as hard as possible. sorry if this is a dumb question but I have no idea what I'm doing and I really dont want to have to restart my character from scratch because I picked the wrong buttons...

Which IDE extension is actually providing the most stable integration for DeepSeek-Coder right now? I have been a dev for over a decade and usually stick to VS Code but I am trying to move away from GitHub Copilot because the monthly sub is getting annoying and honestly the quality has been dipping for me lately. I just got my DeepSeek API key and I am ready to go but there are like a dozen different extensions in the marketplace and they all claim to be the best. I tried the Continue extension earlier today but the autocomplete lag was driving me crazy, maybe it was just my settings or some weird API bottleneck?

I am working on a complex fintech dashboard for a client in London and the deadline is literally this Friday so I dont have time to fiddle with JSON config files for five hours. I need something that just works out of the box with the v2 model. I am looking at stuff like Codeium, Continue, or maybe even those newer ones like Llama Coder or Aider if they work well inside the editor. I heard some people are using it via Ollama locally to save on tokens but my laptop (standard M2 Macbook) might choke if I run the full model while having 50 Chrome tabs and Docker running in the background.

Does anyone know which one has the best workspace awareness? I need the chat to actually understand the context of my whole project structure, not just the file I have open. A lot of these plugins claim to have RAG or codebase indexing but then they fail to find a basic function definition in another folder. I am really feeling the pressure here since I have to deliver the MVP in about 72 hours and I want to see if DeepSeek can actually speed up my boilerplate generation. Is there a specific extension that handles the v2 chat model properly without messing up the code block formatting or is it all still kinda experimental...

She thinks because I spend a lot of time on my laptop that I'm some kind of expert but honestly I've never even touched a video editing program in my life. I keep seeing ads for these AI tools that say they can edit a whole movie in five minutes but when I look them up it's just so confusing. Some are for captions and some are for generative stuff and I dont even know what that means. I have about $200 to spend on whatever tools I need to get this done by July here in Portland. I really want it to look professional and not like a cheap slideshow but I'm worried I'm gonna mess it up. Is there an AI that actually helps with the cutting and the colors and making it look like a real movie instead of just adding weird effects? Sorry if this is a really basic thing to ask but I'm just looking at all these websites like Adobe and some other ones and my head is spinning. Which AI tools are actually worth it for a beginner who needs professional results this year?
