sorry if this is a dumb question but im totally lost. i just got a freelance task where i gotta set up some basic ai agents by monday and i have no idea where to start. my logic was maybe i should learn python first? but then i saw something about langchain and now my head is spinning. i only have like 50 bucks for a course if i even need one.

should i focus on prompt stuff or is it all about the coding side? i really need to get this right so i dont lose the gig. do i even need to know how to code to do this or is there an easier way...

Like someone mentioned, trying to master Python in a weekend is basically suicide lol. Im super satisfied with low-code stuff tho since it saves your wallet. Honestly, you can skip the $50 course and just learn the logic.

  • prompt chaining
  • node-based logic flows I used n8n Desktop Workflow Automation Software for a gig last month and it works well for zero cost. It handles complex api requests perfectly without a massive subscription fee.

Im satisfied with Zapier Central Automation Platform. It works well and is much safer than messy code for a tight deadline. Reliability is solid and i have no complaints.

Unfortunately, jumping into heavy code right away usually ends in tears. I tried building a custom agent for a client last spring using raw Python and it was a total nightmare to debug. Most beginner courses are sadly just outdated cash grabs too. Since you're on a deadline, focus on the logic of how LLMs interact with data instead of syntax. Python is great but it wont save you by Monday if you're starting from zero.

  • Try OpenAI GPT-4o API in the playground. It handles the agent logic internally so you can see how it thinks without code.
  • Use Make.com Core Plan to connect things. Its much more flexible than the basic stuff and cheaper than a dev. Thinking Python was the only way wasted so much of my time. Just get the logic right first or you'll be pulling an all-nighter for nothing... it sucks when you realize you overcomplicated things.
