I am looking at Lambda Labs because it seems cheap but I am also considering Paperspace because of the free tier options though I heard their support is slow.

I have this deadline for a computer vision project in exactly ten days and I only have about 50 dollars total to spend on compute credits. Colab Pro is an option too but the random disconnects drive me crazy during long training runs. Is Lambda reliable enough for a fast turnaround or should I stick with Paperspace? I really dont want to waste my money on a setup that fails...

So I've been running this vintage clothing shop in Austin for about two years now and honestly the social media side of things is actually killing me lol. I spend like three hours every night just trying to edit reels and write captions that dont sound like a robot wrote them and its getting to be too much. I really need to automate this whole thing for 2024 because I want to actually enjoy my weekends again instead of worrying about engagement rates and hashtags.

I did some digging online and saw people mentioning Buffer and then Jasper for the writing part but honestly I'm kinda confused how people are tying it all together. Buffer just seems like a glorified calendar to me? Like it doesnt actually make the content it just holds it until it needs to go live. And Jasper is cool for writing but its like 60 bucks a month just for text and I still have to find photos and videos myself. Plus some reviews say the AI sounds super repetitive after a while which is the last thing I want for my brand and its vibe.

My budget is probably around $50 to $70 a month tops since I'm still a pretty small operation but I need something that can handle a few specific things:

AI image or video generation for quick reels

Auto-scheduling to Instagram and Pinterest mostly

Maybe something that can reply to basic comments or DMs?

Ive got a huge spring drop coming up in ten days and I'm desperate to get a system in place before then so I'm not glued to my phone while trying to ship out orders. Are there any actual all-in-one tools that handle the creative side and the posting side without me having to jump between five different apps? I heard about Lately or maybe Ocoya but the pricing and features seem all over the place and I dont want to waste money on something that wont actually save me time...

So I'm finally starting that hiking blog for my local group here in Boulder and I need to churn out some really long guides, like 2500 words plus. I've been looking at Jasper and Copy.ai but I'm kinda stuck. Jasper seems way too pricey for what is basically a side hobby right now and I keep seeing people say Copy.ai gets all repetitive or just makes stuff up once you get past the first few paragraphs. I need something that actually handles the structure of a long post without me having to babysit it every ten seconds. Budget is strictly under 40 bucks a month since I'm just starting out next week. What are you guys using for actual long-form stuff that doesn't break the bank?

I have three massive 500-page textbooks for my comparative politics class and I'm honestly drowning in the reading list. My midterms are coming up in like ten days and there is just no physical way for me to get through all these chapters while also working my part-time job at the library. I've been trying to find a solid AI tool that can actually handle long academic PDFs without hitting a paywall five minutes in but its been a struggle. Most of the stuff I find online has these tiny file limits or they want a monthly subscription that I just cant afford right now.

I am currently stuck between a few options and I'm trying to figure out which one is the least likely to hallucinate or cut me off mid-sentence:

ChatPDF: I tried it with a smaller article and it was okay but I'm worried it's gonna lose the plot when I upload a 60MB textbook. Does it actually index the whole thing or just the first few pages?

Claude: Everyone keeps talking about the context window being huge but the free tier limits on messages are kind of annoying when you're trying to dig deep into a chapter.

NotebookLM: I just heard about this one from a friend but I havent used it yet. It’s supposed to be good for sources but I dont know if it handles dense academic jargon well.

My main constraints are:

Budget: $0. Total. I'm a grad student in Seattle and my budget for extra tech is basically non-existent.

Accuracy: This is the big one. If the AI makes up a theory or misattributes a quote I am going to fail this exam.

Depth: I dont just need a 3-sentence summary. I need it to actually explain the core arguments and the evidence used in each chapter.

I’m leaning towards NotebookLM because it’s Google and seems free for now but I’m worried it might be too beta and glitchy. Has anyone tried running full textbooks through these? Or is there a better workflow like maybe splitting the PDFs into chapters and using Claude? Just really need a way to get the main points without the fluff...

My logic was to start with Lambda Labs since their training costs are low, but I'm worried about the actual deployment side for 24/7 uptime. I saw some folks mention RunPod for its flexibility, but then I read about issues with cold starts if I go serverless.

My budget is strictly under $400 a month and I need to be live by early August. I'm just kinda stuck deciding if I should split the training and hosting across different providers or if there's one spot that handles both without the insane complexity of AWS. What do people actually recommend for this middle-ground scale?

What are the actual AI tools that pros use for logos because honestly everything I try looks like garbage? I'm trying to rebrand my small landscaping business here in Austin before the spring rush hits and I just dont have the $500+ for a real designer right now. I spent like three hours yesterday on Canva's magic media thing and then tried Looka because I saw some decent reviews on Reddit but the results are so generic. Like every single logo it gave me was just a circle with a leaf in it that looked like a clip art from 2005. I need something that actually understands vector paths or at least gives me files I can use for shirts and truck decals without them looking blurry or weirdly AI-generated with six fingers on a leaf if that makes sense.

I read that Midjourney is good for inspiration but then people say you cant actually use it for a final logo because it cant do text right or something? I'm getting really annoyed because I've got my website launch on Monday and I'm still stuck with no brand identity. Is there a tool that actually lets you tweak the shapes or is it all just type a prompt and pray? I'm looking to spend maybe $50-70 max for a tool that actually works for a professional look not just some toy. Seriously am I just looking in the wrong places or is AI just not there yet for serious branding...
