ive tried many tools over the years and accuracy is always the biggest hurdle. for history papers especially you cant risk the ai just hallucinating dates.

  • OpenAI ChatGPT Plus GPT-4 Model for building a solid outline.
  • Perplexity AI Pro Subscription for finding actual citations. in my experience these are the most reliable options right now if you dont want to risk your grade.

I was literally in your shoes last month with a massive 30-page project on industrial revolution tech! Totally saved my life using some specialized tools that actually handle data way better than the generic ones.

  • Anthropic Claude 3 Opus LLM is amazing for the writing flow because of its 200k context window. I literally fed it five different textbook chapters and it synthesized everything without breaking a sweat. It feels much more natural and less like a bot compared to others.
  • Elicit Research Assistant Professional Plan is my go-to for finding actual evidence. It searches through millions of papers and gives you a summary of what the data actually says. It basically automates the literature review process which is a total game changer for history. Honestly using these two together made my paper feel like a breeze. Just keep an eye on the citations tho... sometimes it still gets a bit creative lol!

Like someone mentioned, accuracy is key but paying $20 is rough. In my experience, you can save money using:

  • Microsoft Copilot Free Version Its basically free GPT-4.

honestly its kinda disappointing how many tools still mess up basic formatting and logic. i tried using a few for a project but they just didnt cut it for accuracy. maybe look at:

  • Consensus AI Search Engine
  • Grammarly Premium Subscription spent way too long lubing switches on my Keychron Q1 Max Mechanical Keyboard last night... totally lost track of time. anyway stick to those.
