I've been staring at my screen for like an hour trying to figure out where to even start with coding. I need to learn some basic Python for a small side project I'm doing for my uncle's landscaping business - just trying to help him automate some email stuff. I'm such a tech dinosaur though lol so please bear with me if I sound like I'm 100 years old and have no idea what I'm doing.
I was looking at apps that use AI to teach you because I thought maybe it would be like having a real tutor right there. My logic was that if I use a normal website I'll just get stuck and give up but if the AI can see my mistakes live that would be way better. I looked at things like Replit or those fancy AI code editors but they look so intimidating with all the buttons and windows. Are there any apps that are actually interactive? Like where I can type code and it explains why it failed in normal human words?
So far I have looked at:
I have about 3 weeks before I need to have this running and my budget is basically whatever I can scrape together from my coffee money, maybe like $15 or $20 a month. I just want something that isnt just reading walls of text because my brain just shuts off immediately. Is there one that is better for total beginners who have zero clue what a "string" or a "variable" even means? I'm really lost...
Totally agree, Mimo is too simple. Over the years, I've found Codecademy Plus Individual Subscription ($17.49/mo) most effective.
^ This. Also, I’d actually disagree on the generic apps tho. I was super satisfied with DataQuest Premium Monthly Subscription for learning Python 3.12 syntax last year.
