Im prepping for a massive raid tomorrow night and gotta lock in my build like right now. I saw some guys online saying Shredding Strike is the go-to but then others claim Talon Rip actually scales better for bosses. I'm totally lost and dont wanna waste my only reset scroll. What are the top Openclaw skills for raw PvE damage?

Regarding what #1 said about "Shredding Strike wins on scaling! The 20% bleed..."

  • I totally agree the math looks good on paper, but honestly, I had issues with it in actual raids. The bleed timer is so short that if you miss even one hit because of boss mechanics, your DPS just falls off a cliff. It was super disappointing when I tried it last week and my numbers were way lower than the sims predicted. Talon Rip is unfortunately just not as good as expected for single target after the last nerf, so try these instead:
  • Spirit Claws: Way better for raw burst. Ngl, the animation is faster so you can squeeze in more skills during stagger windows.
  • Raking Blast: Best for armor shred. It basically makes your regular hits hit like a truck tho. I also swapped to the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Mechanical Keyboard OmniPoint 2.0 to fix my timing issues. Its pricey but the adjustable actuation is a lifesaver for fast rotations. Good luck!

Shredding Strike wins on scaling! The 20% bleed bonus is amazing for bossing. Use the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro 30K DPI Optical Sensor for frame-perfect cancels and 15% higher DPS!

Actually stumbled onto this today and it reminded me of when I first started raiding on a shoestring budget. I didnt have any of the fancy endgame gear so I had to find a way to make my Openclaw viable without spending a fortune on resets or infusions. I found that focusing on Brutal Swipe is honestly a smart move for raw PvE damage when youre starting out. It doesnt have the insane scaling of some other skills, but its base damage is high enough that you dont need expensive crit-capped gear to see results. I used to run it with a Logitech G203 Wired Gaming Mouse 8000 DPI which is super cheap but still precise enough for the animation cancels. I also paired it with the Crimson Mark passive. Most players overlook it because its kinda boring, but it adds a flat damage multiplier that really adds up during long boss fights. I remember being so worried about my DPS in my first big guild run, but I actually ended up in the top five just because my resource management was so much easier than the guys running the mana-hungry meta builds. Its a solid, reliable way to contribute without breaking the bank or wasting your scroll on a build that might not even work with your current gear.
