Which Openclaw skills are actually going to help me win in PvP because I am honestly getting shredded right now? I am so fed up with my current rotation because it feels like every single time I jump into the arena I just get kited to death by mages or stunned into oblivion by those annoying rogue builds and I am ready to just delete my character if I cant figure this out. I know the potential is there and I am actually super excited to master this class because I love the aesthetic of the claws and the speed but right now it feels like I am just flailing around doing zero damage and looking like a total clown.
I have spent about fifty dollars on respec tokens this week alone just trying to find a combination that doesnt suck and I still feel like a total noob every time I que up. I have been focusing on the Hemorrhage path but it feels way too slow for the current meta where everyone is just dashing around the map like crazy people and I cant land a single bleed. I have a local tournament coming up next Saturday and I really want to place in the top ten but at this rate I am gonna be out in the first round and it is driving me insane because I know I can do better.
Should I be dumping points into the Shadow Strike tree or is the raw power from the Primal Fury line better for bursting down healers? I tried using the Spectral pounce but the hitbox feels so janky and half the time I just fly past my target and end up getting backstabbed by someone I didnt even see. I need to know which specific skills are the bread and butter for high rank play because I am clearly missing something obvious here. Is there a specific sequence that works against heavy armor or do I just give up on those fights? I am just so tired of seeing the defeat screen over and over again when I know this class is supposed to be top tier if played right... help me out.
Shadow Strike is a solid choice for catching mages. Stop spending on respec tokens tho, its a waste of money when you just need to practice one path. Primal Fury has power, but Shadow Strike works better for the meta. I use Logitech G203 Lightsync 8000 DPI Mouse because its a decent budget option for fast tracking. You basically just need those mobility passives.
To add to the point above: > I have been focusing on the Hemorrhage path but it feels way too slow for the current meta I remember being in that exact spot last season. I was convinced the Hemorrhage path was the way to go, but I just kept getting kited by everyone. You might want to consider looking at the Gale Force passive under the secondary utility tree. It provides a flat movement speed buff that helps close the gap against mages. Be careful with your stamina management though, as over-committing to a dash usually leads to a stun-lock death. I would suggest checking your hardware response times. I struggled with input lag until I upgraded to the Razer Huntsman V2 Analog Optical Gaming Keyboard which helped me time my escapes more reliably. It sounds like a small detail, but the mechanical consistency really matters when you are trying to land those janky hits. Just make sure to stay patient... Openclaw is a high-skill floor class but it gets better.
Agreed, unfortunately Hemorrhage is a letdown. IIRC Iron Will helps with stuns?
Regarding what #3 said about "Agreed, unfortunately Hemorrhage is a letdown. IIRC Iron..." - i have been dealing with the exact same frustration for nearly two months now. Even following the common advice, the results are always the same and its making me want to quit too. In my experience, a class should have at least one reliable counter to kiting, but Openclaw feels completely left behind right now.
