honestly im so done with this current setup i have for my openclaw. i followed some old guide i found on a random wiki and it feels like im hitting enemies with a wet noodle lately. i just hit level 48 and trying to clear the ruin raids but i keep getting out-damaged by the tank which is just embarrassing honestly. ive already dumped about 650 gold into respecing my skill tree three times this week alone and i still cant get the burst damage right. its driving me crazy because i love the class aesthetics but the actual output is just trash right now. maybe im focusing too much on the bleed stacks or something? i dont know.

i need to get this sorted by friday night because my group is expecting me to carry the dps for the new dungeon crawl and i dont want to let them down. im looking for something that actually has high impact and doesnt just rely on slow damage over time because the mobs are dying too slow for my liking. i tried maxing out feral pounce but the cooldown is killing me and shadow claw seems weak without specific gear i dont have yet.

what are actually the best openclaw skills for a pure dps build that can actually melt bosses?

Look, stop spending your gold on respecs right now because 650 is way too much for level 48. You're probably struggling because you're splitting points between bleed and raw damage, which is a common technical trap. I ran into the same thing last month during my speedrun. You might want to consider shifting away from the bleed stacks entirely if you want that instant burst. Be careful with Feral Pounce tho, since its scaling is weird without specific CDR stats you likely dont have yet. For a budget-friendly burst build that doesnt require high-end raid drops or expensive gems, I would suggest:

  • Rupture: Max this first for the flat damage bonus on slowed targets.
  • Savage Strikes: Use this as your primary filler instead of Shadow Claw.
  • Heartseeker: This is your boss melter, use it only when the mob is under 40% hp.
  • Adrenaline Rush: Keep this at level 4 to save points while still getting the 15% speed buff. Make sure to check your gear stats too. You dont need the legendary sets yet, just grab a Redragon M601 RGB Centrophorus 7200 DPI Gaming Mouse which is super cheap and lets you map your macros to avoid that clunky cooldown feel. It really helps with the timing on Eviscerate combos. If you need more help with the specific math on the crit ratios or gear prefixes, just let me know. Youll get those ruin raids cleared by friday if you stick to the flat damage path.

^ This. Also, in my experience Ravage beats sustain issues:

  • Ravage: high aoe
  • Brutal Strike: boss burst Grab Logitech G502 HERO 25K Sensor Gaming Mouse for better execution.

Saw this earlier. Re: "Look, stop spending your gold on respecs right..." - actually, respecs are necessary when your scaling is off. From my testing, pure burst depends on:

  • Kinetic Blast: better immediate burst than Shadow Claw, but higher stamina cost.
  • Precision Strike: superior to Feral Pounce for boss encounters. Using Razer BlackWidow V3 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard really helps with the tight execution windows for these rotations.
