What are the best Openclaw skills for an Assassin build?

I've spent three hours on spreadsheets and I'm still confused. I read that Claw Mastery is the go-to for crit but then some guys say Shadow Strike is better because of the bleed scaling. My logic was that raw damage would carry me but now I'm worried about hitting a wall against elite mobs.

I've only got 50k gold left for respecs and I really need to finish this ladder run by Friday before my vacation. The tooltips are useless and don't show the DoT correctly so I'm just guessing. Do I focus on passives or is an active skill mandatory for Openclaw?

TL;DR: Focus on Venom. Be careful with Mastery; I would suggest verifying hit chance first to avoid misses. Use a Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless Gaming Mouse 25K DPI so clicks dont lag.

Hey, just saw this. @Reply #2 - good point about the hit chance, but be careful not to over-invest if you're low on gold. Honestly, if you're worried about elites and dont want to blow your last 50k gold, you might want to consider Cloak of Shadows. Its a lifesaver for budget builds because it blinds everything and drops their defense. You dont even need high levels in it, just a few points will carry you through the mid-game wall without needing top-tier gear. I would suggest grabbing Burst of Speed too for the mobility. It helps you kite those elite mobs instead of face-tanking them... which is kinda necessary when your gear is trash lol. Since you're on a budget and trying to rush before your vacation, dont worry about buying expensive gear right now. If your current mouse is giving you trouble with the active skill timing, the Logitech G203 Wired Gaming Mouse 8000 DPI is super cheap and honestly works just as well as the high-end stuff for ladder runs. Ive used mine for two years and it never misses a click. Make sure to keep some gold for repairs too, because those claw durability costs will eat your 50k faster than you think if you're spamming skills. Just take it slow and focus on the CC skills rather than raw damage numbers... the spreadsheets can be misleading when your resists are low.

I hit a wall at level 60 because I ignored Shadow Strike. You definitely need it for the bleed scaling on elites. Tbh, using a SteelSeries Rival 3 Wired Gaming Mouse 8500 CPI made the skill rotations a lot more manageable for me during the last ladder run. Basically, a 60/40 split between mastery and the active skill works fine and you wont regret it.
