I've got this massive pile of sales data for my tiny online shop and my boss wants a full report by Friday morning and I'm honestly panicking. I have no idea where to start with all these numbers and spreadsheets. I heard there are AI things that can just... make graphs for you?

So I was thinking maybe I could just upload my CSV file somewhere and it would tell me what's going on but I'm so confused about which one is actually good for a total beginner who can't code at all. I looked at Tableau but it looks way too hard and expensive for my £20 budget. Is there something simpler that basically does the work for me? Sorry if this is a really basic thing to ask I'm just totally lost right now...

I dealt with a similar mess last month when I had to parse 5000 rows of data. For your budget, OpenAI ChatGPT Plus Subscription is the most practical choice since its only about 16 pounds.

  • Drag your CSV file into the chat
  • Ask it to find trends or create specific charts
  • Copy the analysis for your report It really is a lifesaver for beginners who dont want to code.

I was nervous about privacy. I used Google Sheets with Gemini AI because my files stay in Google. Simple. I'm satisfied with how it makes charts. Another one is Julius AI Data Science Assistant. It's more reliable for catching errors in my experience. Both are beginner friendly and wont break your budget. I've had zero issues so far.

> I looked at Tableau but it looks way too hard and expensive for my £20 budget. ^ This. Also, unfortunately, ive found that many general tools are not as good as expected for complex datasets. I definitely had issues with basic logic errors recently. For a more methodical approach, try Julius AI Basic Subscription. It writes the analysis code for you in the background. Honestly, its way more reliable for sales charts than a standard chatbot and stays within that budget.

Building on the earlier suggestion, the market is basically split between the massive ecosystems like Google and the smaller, more agile players that focus purely on the data side. I would suggest you be careful with the smaller startups though, as their privacy policies can be a bit of a wildcard compared to the established brands. It honestly reminds me of when my old office tried to switch from big-name software to this revolutionary local database system some guy built in his garage. We ended up losing a month of client notes because he forgot to renew his own domain name or something. I had to go back to using a literal physical Rolodex for three weeks. It was actually kinda satisfying flipping through the cards until I got a massive papercut that got infected. I had to wear this huge bandage on my thumb for a month and everyone called me The Hitchhiker... anyway lol sorry kinda went off topic there.

> I'm so confused about which one is actually good for a total beginner ^ This. Also, I remember my first big report—I almost cried! This thread's basically recommending a DIY approach using ChatGPT or Gemini, which is brilliant. But you should try Anthropic Claude 3.5 Sonnet Artifacts! It makes visuals instantly and they look amazing. DIY AI is way better than hiring a pro. Quick tips:

  • Ask for "top three sales spikes".
  • Request a "summary for my boss".
