Which AI tool is actually the best for academic writing because I am torn between Jenni AI and Perplexity? I am finally starting my senior thesis on urban planning—specifically looking at bike lane infrastructure here in Portland—and I am so pumped to get this done but the research part is already stressing me out a bit.
I have a budget of around $50 to spend on subscriptions this month and I really need to knock out this first draft in three weeks. Jenni seems really cool for the auto-citations and flow but I heard Perplexity is way better for finding actual reliable sources? Does anyone have experience using both for a big project like this or should I just stick to one of them...
Yo, Portland bike lanes? That is such a sick topic! I did something similar for my urban dev project last year and honestly... it was a total grind until I figured out the right setup. If you have 50 bucks to drop, you should definitely grab Perplexity Pro Monthly Subscription for the research phase. It is literally amazing because it links directly to real papers so you dont have to worry about fake citations. Then, I would use Jenni AI Unlimited Plan to actually get the words on the page. I love it because it helps with that blank page anxiety and the flow is just fantastic. I managed to knock out 15 pages in like four days using both together. Totally worth the investment to keep your sanity for this thesis!
@Reply #1 - good point! In my experience, relying on just one tool for a thesis is risky. I've tried many setups over the years and usually find a combo works best for technical topics.
Lol I was literally about to post the same thing. Glad someone else brought it up.
Bump - same question here

Bookmarked, thanks!
