I’m at the point where I’m ready to commit to a paid plan, but I’m feeling a bit of sticker shock looking at the big names. Midjourney is obviously amazing, but $30 a month for the standard plan feels like a lot when this is just a hobby for me. Even the $10 basic plan seems a bit restrictive with the limited GPU hours. I’ve also looked at ChatGPT Plus for DALL-E 3, but $20 a month adds up fast when you have other subscriptions to worry about.

I’ve heard some platforms offer credit-based top-ups that don't expire, while others have very affordable entry-level tiers that still give you access to high-quality models like Stable Diffusion XL.

It’s a little frustrating because I just want to create cool character art for my creative writing projects without constantly checking a 'credit counter' like it’s a ticking clock. I don't mind if the UI is a bit more technical as long as the value is there.
