Hey everyone! I am currently working on a residential project for my portfolio and I am looking to speed up my visualization workflow. I usually rely on Rhino and V-Ray, but the rendering times are killing my deadlines.
I've heard some buzz about AI tools but I'm worried about maintaining material accuracy and realistic lighting. I need something that can:
I tried Midjourney but it feels a bit too random for specific structural details. Does anyone have recommendations for AI plugins or software that actually produce professional, realistic results for architects?
Agreed, Veras is decent. Tbh if you're technical and want to save cash, Stability AI Stable Diffusion XL 1.0 is unbeatable. Use ControlNet to lock your structural geometry for free.
Agreed, but keep an eye on accuracy. I've found PromeAI Architect Design Suite is really reliable for beginners because it keeps SketchUp lines intact while adding realistic textures.
This is exactly what I needed to hear. Youre a lifesaver honestly.
Agreed. Tbh LookX AI Architecture Cloud Professional beats Adobe Firefly Image 3 Model for structural precision since its trained on architectural data, tho Firefly is faster for basic lighting tweaks...
TIL! Thanks for sharing

Tbh, if you want to keep your geometry tight while speeding things up, look at EvolveLAB Veras AI Visualization Plugin. It plugs right into SketchUp or Rhino and respects your structural details way better than Midjourney. Another solid bet is D5 Render 2.8 Real-time Ray Tracing. It uses AI for the heavy lifting but keeps those glass reflections looking professional. Both are life savers for tight deadlines.
just saw this and wanted to chime in... if youre looking for something that wont drain your wallet, i really like Vizcom AI Design Tool for quick iterations. it doesnt have as steep of a learning curve as some others and the free tier is actually usable for basic sketching and structural stuff. tbh i'm trying to be super stingy with my spending lately because i'm saving up for a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB GPU so i can finally stop waiting hours for my local renders to finish. i even started bringing my own lunch to the studio which is a struggle cuz the taco truck outside smells so good every single day. seriously, the carnitas are to die for but ten bucks a day adds up so fast when youre trying to build a rig. i think i've saved like fifty bucks this week just by eating boring sandwiches lol. anyway, definitely check out the free vizcom stuff first if you want to save some cash.
