Do I seriously need a heavy math background to actually get a job in AI? Honestly im just so fed up with these bootcamps and online courses that spend like 4 weeks on linear algebra and multivariable calculus before you even touch a line of code. Im trying to pivot from web dev into AI here in Berlin and ive already dropped about 200 bucks on classes that make me feel stupid because I havent done high level math since 2015. It feels like every time I try to learn a framework like PyTorch I hit a wall of equations and its just draining my motivation. Can I just focus on the engineering side or am I just wasting my time trying to switch careers without a math degree...
