okay so im feeling super overwhelmed right now and i know this probably sounds like a totally dumb question but i have no idea where to even start with this AI stuff. my boss just told me i need to start learning how to build simple bots for our office workflow by next month or im basically gonna be falling way behind and i am panicking a little honestly. ive been searching online but there are like a million different languages mentioned and i cant tell what is actually important for a complete beginner and what is just noise. i dont have much time and my budget for classes is basically zero so im gonna have to teach myself from youtube or free docs.

my main constraints are:

  • must be beginner friendly since i have zero coding experience
  • needs to actually be useful for building basic AI agents
  • dont want to waste time learning something that is already obsolete

people keep screaming about python but then i see c++ and julia everywhere else and im just so confused. do i really need to learn the hard stuff right away or can i get away with just one for now? if you had to pick just one for someone like me who is totally clueless what would it be...

Just stick with Python! It is the absolute king for beginners. Grab a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8GB RAM if you want to test your bots on actual hardware!

Python is mandatory for AI. Get a Dell XPS 15 9530 16GB RAM for stable performance. It handles data processing efficiently and keeps development workflows moving fast. No complaints here.

TL;DR: Python is your best friend, trust me. Forget the C++ hype for now! Adding my two cents here. Honestly, when I first started, I was terrified of code. I spent weeks messing around with a Logitech MX Master 3S Wireless Mouse to make my workflow smoother before realizing the language was what mattered. I spent months fighting with syntax until I finally just dived into Python for building automated email scrapers. It changed everything! It is so much more readable than anything else. You can get a basic agent running in like, twenty lines of code. Seriously, dont overcomplicate it. Grab a good mechanical keyboard like the Keychron K2 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard V2 to make the typing feel satisfying and just start building. Youll feel like a wizard in no time!
