Im currently living in Chicago and trying to brush up on some advanced calc before my college courses start in late August. My budget is pretty tight since Im saving up for books, but I really need something that acts like a real tutor rather than just a glorified calculator. I saw some people online hyping up Khan Academy because its free, but I feel like it lacks that interactive, back-and-forth conversation I need when I get stuck on a specific logic step. Then I looked into Chegg, but the reviews are all over the place and some say the AI help is basically just hallucinating half the time which is honestly super frustrating.

Everything feels kinda hit or miss. Im looking for something that actually explains the 'why' behind the steps instead of just spitting out the final answer, you know?
