Im so pumped to start my masters in psychology at Leeds next month but I really want to nail my workflow from day one. I spent all morning looking at stuff online and everyone says Notion AI is the way to go for notes, and then there is ChatGPT Plus obviously.

But honestly the subscriptions add up fast and I only have about 15 quid a month to spend on this stuff. I heard Notion is good for layout but maybe not great for actual academic citations? And people say ChatGPT just makes up sources sometimes which would literally kill my grade. What are the actual best AI tools for uni right now that wont break the bank or get me flagged for fake references?

Congrats on the psychology masters! Leeds is fantastic! Since youre worried about those fake hallucinations, you absolutely have to try Perplexity AI Pro Subscription for your research. Its amazing because it actually provides real citations from the web and academic papers so you wont get flagged for fake sources! Honestly, ChatGPT is risky for bibliographies but this is a total game changer for keeping things accurate and professional.

  • Use Perplexity AI Free Version for cited research.
  • Pair it with Zotero Reference Manager Desktop App to organize your library. I love this setup because it prioritizes reliability over everything else. Its so important to double check those sources before you submit! This workflow is gonna save you so much stress while keeping your grades safe.

Building on the earlier suggestion, you absolutely need Consensus AI Search Engine Premium! It only pulls from peer-reviewed papers so no hallucinations. Its amazing for psych students needing legit evidence fast!

I spent ages trying to find a tool that wouldnt lie to me during my own research projects! You seriously need to check out Elicit AI Research Assistant Plus. It searches 200 million papers to extract data directly. I used it to summarize 50 psych studies in one afternoon and the accuracy was incredible! Its a total game changer for technical literature reviews without the hallucinations!
