Daughters 7th birthday is this Saturday so Im in a rush. I saw Midjourney is popular but I dont want her on Discord at all, and DALL-E 3 seems way too unpredictable for a kid. Budget is like $15-20. What are some actually safe AI drawing tools that wont show her anything weird?

In my experience, Adobe Firefly Web App Premium Plan is the safest option because its trained on licensed imagery, eliminating the unpredictable junk found elsewhere. I've tried many, and Canva Pro Monthly Subscription is the best for a controlled UI. It basically forces safety filters on every prompt and stays within your $15 budget easily. The output resolution is solid too.

> WOMBO Dream Premium Monthly lately. Its only about 10 bucks Totally agree with the price point! Building on the earlier suggestion, Picsart Gold Monthly Subscription is another amazing choice for about 13 dollars. Its so easy for kids to navigate and the AI generator has really solid safety filters compared to the wild stuff out there. My niece uses it constantly and honestly the creative things she makes are fantastic! Perfect for a 7 year old tbh.

^ This. Also, Ive been really satisfied with WOMBO Dream Premium Monthly lately. Its only about 10 bucks, so it fits your budget perfectly and leaves money for actual presents. Technically, it uses a CLIP-guided diffusion model that relies on specific style presets. This is great for a kid because those presets act like guardrails... keeping the art consistent and safe. The UI is super streamlined too, so she wont get lost in complex settings. Im also happy with Microsoft Designer Web App. Its free, which is a big win for the wallet. It runs on the DALL-E 3 architecture but with significantly more restrictive safety layers and automated content filtering than the raw version. Works well for basic prompts and the latency is low, usually giving you results in a few seconds. No complaints about the quality either... definitely worth a look before the birthday party.

> What are some actually safe AI drawing tools that wont show her anything weird? Ugh, I am in the exact same boat with my little one right now. Honestly, it is such a struggle. I spent the last few weeks testing different apps and had issues with basically every single one... they either censor everything fun like a simple dragon or they let something totally creepy through the filters. It is just not as good as expected and honestly super disappointing for a parent when you just want a safe space for them to be creative. I actually ended up going the DIY route because I just dont trust these big cloud companies anymore. I spent my whole weekend trying to build a local sandbox on an old PC. It is a huge learning curve but it feels like the only way to be 100 percent sure. If you have any tech skills at all, just go with anything from the Stability family and run it on your own hardware. You really cant go wrong when you are the one in charge of the backend, even if it is a major pain to set up... it is kinda the only way I can sleep at night while she is playing around with AI.
