I am honestly spiraling right now because my literature review is due in exactly four days and I have barely scratched the surface. My professor is super strict about academic integrity so I need something that helps with outlining and structure without just spitting out garbage that sounds like a robot wrote it. I have been looking online and saw a bunch of people recommending Jasper but then others say it is way too expensive and more for marketing copy anyway. Then I looked at GrammarlyGO which seems okay but honestly I am just confused if it actually helps with the heavy lifting of organizing arguments or if it is just a glorified spell checker.
I need something that fits these specific needs:
- Must be budget friendly because Im a broke student in London and cant drop 50 quid a month on a sub
- Needs to handle long-form academic tone rather than blog posts
- Ideally something that can help me brainstorm thesis statements when Im stuck
Im not trying to cheat, I just need a tool that can help me get my thoughts in order before I lose my mind. Has anyone actually used anything that worked for uni-level writing without getting flagged by detectors? I am kind of desperate here...

Honestly, I tried OpenAI ChatGPT Plus Subscription and it was a total money pit. It just kept looping the same structure. Save your cash and stick to free Notion templates.

- How dense is your source material currently?
- Are you mostly stuck on the thesis or the structural flow? Its way cheaper than those monthly subs and helps keep the academic tone grounded.
