I'm starting a tiny blog on a shoestring budget and need help scaling my posts. I'm looking for the most affordable AI writers that don't sacrifice quality.

I'm specifically looking for:

  • Bulk generation options
  • Under $15/month pricing

What are the cheapest AI tools for automated content writing that you actually recommend?

Rytr Saver Plan 100k Characters is $9/mo, but OpenAI API GPT-4o mini is superior for bulk generation because the $0.15 per million input tokens is unbeatable for scaling, ngl.

Honestly, if youre looking for reliability on a budget, Koala.sh KoalaWriter Starter Plan is about $9 a month and hits that sweet spot for blog quality. Its safer than using a basic chat interface for bulk generation. You could also try Frase AI Content Solo Plan which is right at $15. Just be careful though, always fact-check your posts because ai can definitely hallucinate sometimes.

I disagree with chasing the bottom dollar. My old buddy tried that and his site ended up posting recipes for literal rocks. It was just a total nightmare to clean up, honestly...

> My old buddy tried that and his site ended up posting recipes for literal rocks. ^ This. Also, I'm currently in the exact same boat trying to scale a tiny hobby site on a shoestring budget. Its such a headache trying to find that balance. You definitely have to be careful though, because if the quality is trash, you'll spend more time fixing sentences than you would've spent just writing them. Honestly, reliability is the biggest hidden cost. If you have to fact-check every single word, the cheap tool becomes super expensive in terms of your time. Just make sure to keep an eye on those outputs... bad AI can really tank your site's reputation fast and you dont want to be cleaning up rock recipes for weeks.

> What are the cheapest AI tools for automated content writing that you actually recommend? I feel your pain so much! It is honestly a nightmare trying to find a technical setup that actually generates quality at this price point. I have spent hours debugging API calls and adjusting parameters just to save a few bucks, only to end up with a mess of unoptimized text. It is just so draining! If you want real technical value, I love Claude 3 Haiku API for bulk work. The latency is amazing and it is incredibly efficient for high-volume tasks! For a full dashboard, Writesonic Individual Plan is fantastic and usually stays right around $12 per month. Also, Hugging Face Inference API is an amazing resource if you want to experiment with open-source models for basically nothing. These give you much better output density than the basic wrappers out there.
