What is the best AI for creating realistic architectural renders?

Ive been doing archviz for like 10 years now, mostly sticking to V-Ray and Lumion, but man, the pressure to speed things up is getting insane lately. I tried jumping into the AI hype last month using Stable Diffusion with ControlNet to keep the geometry straight, but its honestly driving me crazy. The windows keep looking like weird liquid and it keeps adding random trees where I specifically have a driveway in my CAD files. Im working on this residential complex in suburban Chicago and the client is super picky about the brick textures and the lighting being physically accurate but they also want the renders done by next Friday which is just not possible with my current workflow.

I tried LookX and Veras too but they feel a bit hit or miss depending on the day and sometimes the scaling just goes completely out the window. I need something that actually understands architectural constraints without hallucinating extra balconies or turning my glass into mirrors every time I hit generate. Im willing to pay for a monthly sub if it actually works and saves me the post-production headache because right now Im spending more time fixing AI mistakes in Photoshop than I would have spent just rendering the old way. What are you guys actually using for production-ready realistic renders that dont look like a total fever dream?

To add to the point above: it really is a mess out there. I had issues with those exact same tools last month and its honestly just soul-crushing when you are on a tight deadline. The reliability just isnt there yet for professional archviz. Every time I think I found a shortcut, I end up spending hours masking out weird artifacts in Photoshop. Unfortunately, most AI-first tools just dont respect the safety of your CAD geometry. Ive gone back to using Chaos Enscape Fixed-Seat License for my fast turnarounds. It is not as flashy as Stable Diffusion, but it wont hallucinate a second balcony onto your project. If you need a bit more punch without the risk, Epic Games Twinmotion 2023.2 Commercial License is also great for keeping textures physically accurate without the weird melting windows. It sucks that the tech is not as good as expected yet, but hang in there... you are definitely not alone in this headache.

That pressure is no joke. Ive been in the trenches with V-Ray for a decade and the shift to AI is a total culture shock. Recently, I found a workflow that actually respects CAD data without the weird hallucinations. Are you looking for a plugin that stays inside your modeling software, or are you okay with a web-based workflow? Also, how much of your geometry do you need the AI to strictly respect?

Honestly, if you want speed without the hallucination headache, stop trying to make Midjourney or pure Stable Diffusion work for the base render. You lose way too much time fixing it in post. Stick to a real-time engine that has AI features built directly into the viewport. D5 Render Pro Subscription is probably your best bet right now. Their AI atmosphere and texture tools are decent because they respect your geometry. For that Chicago brick work, the AI texture generator inside D5 is usable. It costs around 30 bucks a month but the time saved on Photoshop fixes pays for itself. Also, give Krea.ai Pro Plan a shot for the final upscale. Just keep the strength low, maybe 0.2, so it doesnt start adding random balconies. Its a fine line with the monthly subs but this combo is way more stable than fighting with ControlNet all day.
