The search source are based on Bing. and they don't have any reddit sources. What a shame.

been messing with this all afternoon and unfortunately it didnt live up to the hype for my workflow. i was trying to track down some very specific pcie lane configurations on r/hardware and the results were just messy. it kept failing to index the actual technical deep dives in the comments and just gave me the top level fluff. had some issues with the citations too where the link didnt even match the text content. it feels like the crawl depth is severely limited compared to a manual site search on a proper engine. not as good as expected tbh. are you seeing actual granular data from deep comment threads or just the main posts? and are you looking for real-time troubleshooting or just general consensus stuff?

honestly i am pretty satisfied with how the search has been holding up lately. it feels way more reliable than it did a few months ago and i havent had many complaints. was using it earlier to find some setup guides for my SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Wireless Keyboard and it worked perfectly. actually reminds me of this old ibm mechanical board i had back in the 90s that weighed like ten pounds... i used to drive my parents crazy with the clicking sound late at night. i think i still have it in a box somewhere in the attic next to my old high school yearbooks and some old cables i probably wont ever use again. anyway but yeah. quick tips:

  • try adding forum or solved to your search string to get past the seo junk
  • be super specific with model numbers
