ChatGPT search is based on bing. So just SEO for bing.

ChatGPT's new search functionality shows significant differences from Google and Bing, though it uses Bing's search index. The platform favors long-form content from authoritative media sites over brand product pages. For local searches, ChatGPT relies heavily on Google Maps data and reviews, with no paid ads displayed. Unlike traditional search engines, ChatGPT analyzes 12 results to generate answers rather than just displaying links. Without ad competition, the focus shifts to organic brand mentions and value presentation. To succeed, businesses should focus on securing coverage in trusted media outlets and maintaining strong Google Maps presence with positive reviews.

I've been thinking about this for a bit and I'm honestly a little worried about how quickly everyone is jumping on the AI optimization trend. Before I can offer any specific thoughts though, I need to ask what niche your website is in? Are you running an informational blog or more of a service-based brand? I would suggest being very careful about over-optimizing specifically for ChatGPT search right now. If you lean too hard into conversational content just to please the LLM, you might accidentally hurt your performance on Google where most people are still searching. You really have to consider the risk of how these crawlers treat your site's data compared to traditional engines like Bing. I'd make sure to keep your core SEO strategy stable and not change everything for a feature that is still quite unpredictable. Basically just dont want to see anyone get penalized by the major players for chasing a trend... it feels a bit risky.
