Im totally out of my depth here so sorry if this is a dumb question but I really need to get DeepSeek V4 Flash running on my own machine by next week for a project at work. I keep reading about VRAM and quantizing but it honestly sounds like a foreign language to me. My budget is around 2500 bucks and I live in the US so I can order parts fast. I have no idea what graphics card or how much ram I actually need to make this thing run without crashing my computer. What is the absolute minimum hardware I need to buy to make this work without spending a fortune...

Saw this earlier but just now responding. Honestly, if you want a reliable setup, dont mess around with cheap boards. Grab an ASUS TUF Gaming Z790-Plus WiFi for stability. Unfortunately, I had issues with cheaper components in the past, so stick to reputable power supplies like the EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G7 1000W 80 Plus Gold.
- Get at least 64GB of Kingston FURY Renegade 64GB DDR5 6000MT/s
- Dont skimp on cooling

You can find these used for a great price. Pair it with G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 64GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM. I am very satisfied with this combo; it is reliable and handles quantization without any errors. Honestly, just grab a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6X. Its the gold standard for local LLMs right now. Dont bother with anything less if you need speed. Youll want to pair it with at least 64GB of RAM like Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR5 5600MHz. That should fit in your budget easily and keep things stable for your project. Keep it simple and dont overthink the quantizing yet.
