im honestly so fed up with trying to learn java for AI because it feels like im just hitting a brick wall and wasting my time while everyone else is moving way faster. i want to transition out of my boring accounting job by september and im super excited to finally dive into machine learning but the advice online is just a mess and i dont want to pick the wrong path again.
here is what im looking for:
- something with good libraries for beginners
- must be relevant for the London job market
- something i can get decent at in 4 months
- i dont have a huge budget for paid courses
so what should i actually focus on so i dont mess this up...

Python is your best bet for London. Java is just too clunky for ML and youll probably burn out.
- Python: huge community and easiest syntax.
- R: good for stats, but harder to find dev roles. I would suggest focusing 100% on Python. Be careful with expensive bootcamps tho, many are scams. You might want to consider a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Laptop 15.6 inch if you need a budget machine for coding. Dont give up!

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've tried many paths but:
- Python's best, specifically PyTorch Deep Learning Framework.
- Grab O'Reilly Hands-on Machine Learning with Scikit-Learn Keras and TensorFlow 3rd Edition for those London roles...
