Are there any free apps recommended for studying artificial intelligence?

Hey everyone! I’ve been really diving deep into the world of AI lately, but man, it’s a bit overwhelming. There are so many paid bootcamps and expensive certifications out there that it's hard to know where a beginner should actually start without breaking the bank. I'm looking for some solid, free mobile apps or platforms that I can use to learn the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, especially while I'm on the go during my daily commute.

I’m specifically looking for something that covers the basics of machine learning and maybe a bit of Python or neural network logic. I’ve tried just reading long articles or watching random YouTube videos, but I find that I learn much better through interactive quizzes or small coding exercises that provide immediate feedback. It would be great if the app has a clear learning roadmap so I don’t feel like I’m just jumping around between unrelated topics.

Does anyone have any personal favorites that are actually high-quality? I’ve heard of things like Mimo or SoloLearn, but I’m not sure if they have comprehensive AI-specific modules. If you've used an app that really helped you grasp the core concepts without a steep subscription fee, what would you recommend?

> Are there any free apps... for studying artificial intelligence? Honestly, I've used Sololearn: Learn to Code for years cuz interactive practice is KEY. It's free and actually helps beginners like me grasp ML basics easily. gl!

Hmm, I've had a different experience. I'd actually suggest Enki: Learn SQL, AI, & Coding since the AI tracks are way more structured and cost $0. SoloLearn feels a bit basic for ML tbh.

Late to the party but I gotta weigh in here since I've been through a dozen of these. If you want a real roadmap without spending a dime, you should definitely check out the Coursera Mobile App. Most people dont realize you can audit almost any course for free. Just hit the audit button instead of paying for the cert, and you get all the video content and readings. Andrew Ngs Machine Learning course is basically the bible for beginners. Also, Kaggle Learn is amazing for the interactive stuff you mentioned. Its not a standalone app but the mobile site works well enough for quick reading and code snippets. They have specific modules on Python and ML that take a few hours each and give you actual data to mess with. Since you mentioned neural network logic, definitely look at the University of Helsinki Elements of AI course. Its totally free and explains the logic better than anything else ive seen. It doesnt have the gamified feel of Mimo, but the quality is way higher tbh. Good luck on the journey, its a lot to take in at first but it gets easier!

Just catching up on the thread. Like someone mentioned, staying interactive is the only way to make this stuff stick. You might want to consider the DataCamp Learn Data Science app for your commute. It’s good for quick Python and ML drills, tho you gotta be careful because the mobile interface can sometimes oversimplify the logic. Dont let the gamification fool you into thinking you've mastered the math behind it... Checking out Programiz Learn Python is another solid move if you need a direct way to practice coding without too much fluff. Make sure you dont just guess your way through the exercises. You really need to understand why a certain model is used over another if you want to actually perform well in this field. It’s a bit of a grind but stick with it, you'll get there.
