Hey everyone! I’ve been really wanting to dive into the world of AI lately, but my schedule is so packed that I rarely have time to sit at my computer for long study sessions. I’m looking for some top-rated mobile apps that make learning artificial intelligence actually fun and manageable during a daily commute. I’ve seen a few big names like Brilliant, but I’m curious if there are newer, specialized apps specifically focused on neural networks or generative AI. I’m looking for something interactive rather than just watching videos. Does anyone have a favorite app that really helped the complex concepts click for you? What would you recommend for a beginner who wants to stay consistent?

For your situation, I would suggest Enki: Learn to Code & AI because it basically turned my daily commute into a mini-AI lab!! Ngl, I'm still a beginner but their interactive cards on neural networks and backpropagation made everything click way faster than any video ever could. My biggest tip? Just commit to 5 minutes a day using the daily streak feature to stay consistent without burning out lol. Also, u should highkey try DataCamp: Learn Data Science mobile app since it has specialized tracks for generative AI and LLM architectures that are super manageable on a phone. Basically, prioritize apps with 'spaced repetition' algorithms cuz it really helps the technical specs of AI models stick in ur brain. It’s amazing for staying consistent when ur busy. gl!

Honestly, I’d suggest Mimo: Learn Coding/AI. It’s got a dedicated track for Generative AI and neural networks that’s super bite-sized. Just be cautious tho, cuz the simplified visuals sometimes hide the actual complexity of backpropagation math. Basically, it’s great for building intuition during a commute, but you’ll wanna verify the logic with official documentation later to be safe. TL;DR: Mimo: Learn Coding/AI is solid for consistent, interactive AI learning.

Re: "I'd actually suggest a different approach cuz those..."

  • You're spot on about the cost. I've tried a bunch of apps and some of those monthly fees are just wild for what you get. For me, reliability and actually understanding the "why" is more important than just a fancy UI.
  • Brilliant.org Annual Subscription is my go-to. I know you mentioned it, but it really is top-rated for a reason. The way they break down neural networks visually is super satisfying and actually makes the concepts click.
  • Coursera Mobile App is another solid one, especially for the DeepLearning.AI courses. It lets you download everything, which is a lifesaver when the signal drops during a commute.
  • Khan Academy App is totally free and honestly has the best bite-sized lessons for the linear algebra and probability you need for AI. I'm honestly very satisfied with these three. They keep things manageable without feeling like you're just clicking through a slideshow. Stick with one and you'll see progress pretty fast... let me know if you need help finding the specific AI tracks in those!

I'd actually suggest a different approach cuz those monthly subs get pricey fast. I spent way too much on apps before finding SoloLearn. * It’s way more budget-friendly for beginners.
* The community feedback helps neural net logic actually click. i would suggest trying their free stuff before paying for Mimo. Just be careful not to rush through the hard parts! gl
