I'm trying to learn how to make a simple website for my sister's bakery in Seattle and everyone keeps telling me to use AI but honestly I'm so lost. My logic was that since I dont know any python or html I should just find a tool that writes it for me.
I looked at something called GitHub Copilot but then saw ChatGPT and now people are talking about Claude? Sorry if this is a dumb question but are they all the same thing or is one better for a total beginner? I only have $20 a month for this and I'm hoping to have the site live by next month. Which one is actually the best right now?

Saw this earlier... what features does the bakery actually need? Just a menu or full ordering? I have spent hours testing these and would suggest being very careful with your limited budget.
- Cursor AI Code Editor is incredible and offers a generous free tier.
- OpenAI ChatGPT Free Version is sufficient for basic HTML. Make sure you dont overspend on AI when you will definitely need those funds for hosting fees.

Regarding what #3 said about "Re: "Saw this earlier... what features does the..." - i actually think the biggest hurdle for a beginner isnt just the scope, but the safety and deployment side of things. If you dont know any code, copy-pasting from a chat window into a file you dont understand is a recipe for a broken site or security holes. I have been incredibly satisfied with Replit Core AI Subscription for these types of projects. It works well because it combines the coding AI with the actual hosting environment.
- It manages the backend stuff so you dont accidentally leak data or break the server setup.
- The AI agent can actually run the code and fix its own bugs in real-time, which is much more reliable than guessing.
- You get a staging link immediately to see if the bakery menu looks okay on mobile. Honestly, having everything in one place is way safer for a newbie than trying to juggle three different tools... plus it stays within your budget easily.

Re: "Saw this earlier... what features does the bakery..." - yeah totally agree on the feature set being key. If you dont plan the scope first you just waste money. It reminds me of helping my cousin with his Seattle shop... we ended up eating way too much at Pike Place instead of working. Those smoked salmon rolls at Piroshky Piroshky are seriously insane. Spent hours in the rain for them. Anyway lol sorry kinda went off topic there.
