Ive been using Claude and ChatGPT for coding tasks for a while now and theyve always been solid for snippets, but lately my workflow has changed. Im currently working on a massive project for my firm here in Chicago that involves digesting around 50 to 60 legal PDFs a day, each one being like 50 plus pages of dense jargon. I thought I could just dump them into a custom GPT but the context window management has been a nightmare and it keeps hallucinating details or skipping entire sections of the exhibits. I dont have a huge budget for some enterprise-grade software, maybe like 50 bucks a month max, but I need something that actually keeps the citations accurate because if I miss a clause in these contracts my boss is gonna kill me. I tried playing around with NotebookLM recently and it seems better at grounding the answers in the source material, but the formatting options for the output summary are kinda limited for what I need to paste into my final reports. Has anyone found a tool that handles these massive batch document summaries without losing the plot? Like, is there something better for actual document processing that doesnt hallucinate half the definitions? I need to get this sorted by Friday because the workload is only getting heavier and I am losing my mind copy-pasting sections manually...
