Hey everyone! I have been working as a freelance video editor for a couple of years now, mostly doing YouTube content and short corporate promos. Lately, my workload has been getting pretty intense, and I am finding it harder to keep up with tight deadlines while maintaining that professional polish. I have been hearing a lot about how AI is changing the game for video post-production, but there are so many options out there that it is a bit overwhelming to pick one that actually delivers pro-level results.
I am specifically looking for something that can help with the tedious parts of the process. I spend way too much time on things like:
I usually work in Adobe Premiere Pro, so a tool that integrates well as a plugin would be a huge plus, but I am open to standalone software if it really saves time. I am not trying to replace my creative touch, just looking to automate the repetitive stuff so I can focus on the storytelling. I have a budget of around $30 to $50 a month for the right subscription.
Does anyone have a go-to AI tool that they actually trust for professional-grade work? I would love to hear what has worked best for your workflow and if there are any specific features I should look out for.
Curious about one thing: do u use Mac or PC? Honestly, I had issues with realy bad lag using:
For your situation, i feel u on the workload. Been doing this for like 8 years now and honestly, the burnout is real when youre just cutting out umms for hours on end. I have tried basically every game-changing AI plugin and unfortunately, most are total junk that just crash your project. I had issues with some earlier tools that messed up my audio sync, which was literally a nightmare to fix... For your talking head struggle, I would suggest Descript. Its basically the industry standard for removing filler words and silences by editing the text. If u wanna stay in your timeline, FireCut AI Plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro is actually reallyyy helpful for the price (at least thats what worked for me). It handles the cuts and captions right inside the app. For color, the built-in Auto Match in Adobe Premiere Pro was not as good as expected, cuz AI still struggles with skin tones tbh. TL;DR: Descript is great for transcript editing, but FireCut AI Plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro is the better plugin for your budget and workflow. gl!
Yep, this is the way
This^ Also wanted to add, just stay safe with:
I would suggest being careful with random tools... gotta protect your client data, right?
