Does anyone know a decent budget host that actually runs OpenClaw well because I am honestly at my wits end with my current provider. My server keeps lagging out every time more than two people join and im just so done with it at this point. I have like 15 bucks a month to spend on this and really need something reliable for a small private community of like 10 players based in the UK. Seriously if I have to restart this node one more time today Im gonna lose it. Is there any host you guys trust that wont tank my performance or am I just doomed to deal with these constant crashes...

Jumping in here because I totally feel your pain with those constant restarts. Honestly, if you want something that actually stays up for a small group, check out Netcup VPS 1000 G11 AMD Ryzen 5950X 8GB RAM. I have been running a few instances on their hardware for a while now and I am honestly super satisfied. The single-core performance is killer which is exactly what you need for OpenClaw since it loves fast clock speeds. You wont have to deal with the lag spikes once you migrate because the CPU overhead is way better than those cheap budget providers everyone usually flocks to. Its well within your 15 dollar budget too. Just make sure you tweak your tick rate settings after you get it set up and you should be golden.

Just catching up on this thread now. Regarding what #1 said about Honestly, 15 bucks is plenty if you pick the right spot, I kinda disagree that you need a full game VPS for a small OpenClaw setup. Honestly, you can save a ton of cash by going with a dedicated virtual instance that focuses on single-core clock speed instead of paying for the gaming label. I have been running my own instance on a Hetzner Cloud CPX21 3vCPU 4GB RAM and it honestly works well for the price point. The performance is super snappy since they use really solid EPYC processors. You would save a decent chunk of change compared to those overpriced game-specific hosts, and with 10 players, you really dont need much more overhead than that. Just keep it simple and you wont be hitting those constant lag spikes.

Honestly, 15 bucks is plenty if you pick the right spot! I totally get the frustration, constant restarts are the absolute worst. I moved my setup over to OVHcloud Game VPS SSD 2 and it has been nothing short of amazing! The game-optimized anti-DDoS is a total lifesaver and the latency for my UK players is just fantastic. Since you have 10 players, you really need that high clock speed so the server doesn't choke when everyone gets busy. This one uses a dedicated thread which basically prevents that weird lagging when people start moving around. Setup was super easy too, even for a beginner like me. Honestly, just grab this and you wont have to deal with those annoying crashes anymore. I love it!
