Hey everyone! I’ve been really diving into the world of Artificial Intelligence lately, but honestly, I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by how many fragmented resources are out there. I’m looking for a mobile-friendly app that offers a truly structured, step-by-step curriculum for a complete beginner.

I’ve tried watching various YouTube tutorials, but I often feel like I’m missing the foundational theory. I want something that covers the basics—like how neural networks actually function and an introduction to Large Language Models (LLMs)—without jumping straight into complex calculus right away. I’ve glanced at apps like Brilliant and Coursera, which are great, but I’m wondering if there’s a specific app that focuses entirely on a comprehensive AI roadmap from scratch.

My main goal is to understand the logic behind AI rather than just learning how to write prompts. I’m happy to pay for a subscription if the quality is there, but a solid free trial to test the teaching style would be a huge plus. Does anyone have a favorite app that provides a clear, guided path for someone just starting out in AI?

TL;DR: Id recommend Enki: Learn to Code & AI. Its a safe roadmap for neural nets and LLM logic without heavy calculus... worked well for me, no complaints lol!

Ok so, I spent ages jumping between apps trying to find one that didn't just teach prompts. Since you mentioned Brilliant.org, here's the deal: - Brilliant.org: Best for visual logic and neural nets, but it's a bit pricey.
- DataCamp: Learn Data Science: Best for a structured roadmap, tho it gets technical fast. Be careful tho, dont jump into calculus too early. Check the trials first!! gl

Jumping in here because, man, I feel that frustration deep in my soul. It’s been years and the amount of low-quality garbage you have to sift through is still exhausting. Honestly, seeing beginners get sucked into apps that are basically glorified blogs is just... ugh. It’s a mess. Checking out these options hasn't been great:

  • LinkedIn Learning Artificial Intelligence Foundations is vetted and safe, but it’s so corporate and dry it’s a struggle to finish.
  • Udemy Artificial Intelligence A-Z has depth, but you have to dodge a million low-quality cash grabs to find the good stuff.
  • Mimo Learn to Code AI is okay for the commute but way too basic for real logic. TL;DR: None of them truly nail it. LinkedIn is boring, Udemy is a total gamble, and Mimo is just too shallow. It’s frustrating that a perfect path still doesn't exist tho.

To add to the point above: I spent way too much time looking for the perfect specs on these apps because I wanted a real deep dive into the logic, not just prompt engineering! My journey started with trying to find a roadmap that actually explains how things tick under the hood.

  • Codecademy Pro AI Courses: This is amazing for getting your hands dirty with the actual logic. Their mobile app is super slick for practicing on the go. It usually runs about 15-30 dollars a month if you catch a sale.
  • Udacity AI Programming with Python Nanodegree: If you want the most technical, spec-heavy roadmap out there, this is the one! It covers everything from PyTorch to neural nets. It is pricey at about 399 a month but the depth is fantastic.
  • Mimo Learn to Code AI Path: This is a bit more casual but great for consistent daily practice. It focuses a lot on the Python logic behind AI which is super helpful. The logic-first approach on Codecademy Pro AI Courses hit the sweet spot for me. It explains the foundations of LLMs without making you do a year of calculus first. Definitely give the trial a spin to see if the style clicks for you!

Adding my two cents here since I have spent a good chunk of my career trying to keep up with these shifts, and I am pretty satisfied with how far mobile learning has come lately. When I started out, it was all dense textbooks, but now you can actually get the foundation on your phone during a commute. If youre looking to save some cash, I have had a solid experience with Sololearn AI Python Course. It breaks down the logic without hitting you with heavy math right away. They have a free tier thats actually usable, tho the Pro version is about 12 bucks a month if you want to skip ads. Another one that worked well for me is Mimo Learn to Code. Its technically for coding, but their AI modules are surprisingly deep on theory for a mobile app. Its methodical and doesnt just throw you into the deep end. I found that sticking to one path for at least a month made the most difference in my understanding of neural nets. Dont feel pressured to pay for everything at once... most of these have trials that are worth cycling through first.
