Jumping in here after reading through... @Reply #10 - good point! Honestly though, i have been at this for years and i have had issues with Sora that make me pretty skeptical about using it for actual client work. It is just not as good as expected for professional output because of those weird physics glitches. I have to politely disagree with the folks saying it is ready for prime time freelance work. It is gonna frustrate your clients when peoples legs start merging into the floor. If you want to actually make money right now, my advice is to stick with established ecosystems. Go with Runway and you really cant go wrong for stability. Or honestly just get any of the creative tools from Luma AI. They are way more reliable for getting stuff done today. Let me know if you want to chat more about setting that up tho... always down to help a fellow creator out.

@Reply #11 - good point! honestly, i have been at this for years and i have had issues with Sora that make me pretty skeptical for actual client work. looking at the thread, it seems like we are all stuck between waiting for Google Veo 2 and trying to flip accounts, which is risky. from a technical side, Sora's temporal consistency is a mess right now... it cant handle complex causality which makes it useless for long-form professional stuff. it is just not as good as expected when you look at the physics glitches. since the usual freelance routes are tough with these issues, maybe try these instead:

  • AI Storyboarding: use it to create fast visual guides for directors who are going to shoot real film. they dont need perfect physics, just the vibe.
  • Lo-fi background loops: create those 10-hour lofi study videos for youtube. the glitches matter less when the style is dreamy or abstract.
  • Prompt engineering consulting: companies are desperate to understand this tech. dont sell them the video, sell them the knowledge of how to use it without it looking like a mess. it is disappointing that we arent at the push a button for a movie stage yet, but there is still money if you pivot away from high-end production.

VEO 2 is better.

Building on the earlier suggestion, i had a moment to think about this more and honestly, ive had issues with Sora that make me pretty skeptical for now. People in the thread have mentioned everything from selling accounts to waiting for Veo 2, but unfortunately, Sora isnt as good as expected when you actually try to use it for paid work. The physics are so wonky that the compatibility with real-world footage is zero. Big warning tho: dont try to sneak these onto stock platforms. Youll likely get your whole account banned when their AI detectors flag the glitches. TL;DR: Summary of the thread shows a mix of sell now vs wait for better tech. My take is to be careful with bans and glitches; stick to using it for internal mockups and storyboards until it improves. If anyone needs help figuring out how to prompt for better physics tho, just ask!

Late to the party but this whole thread is 💯. Glad I found it.

It is still too early for making money from Sora, their videos are not good enough yet. So just wait for several months.
