Im seriously losing my mind here. Ive been trying to get OpenClaw up and running on my current host for like three weeks and its just constant errors. Like every single day there is some dependency issue or the server just crashes when it gets more than a few hits. Honestly fed up with these guys, they promised managed support but I havent heard back from a ticket I opened on Tuesday. Im just so excited to finally get this project live for my gaming blog since I have a bunch of users in the UK waiting on it, but right now its basically just a broken link.
My budget is around 20-30 bucks a month and I need something that actually knows what OpenClaw is because installing the environment has been a total nightmare on my shared plan. I dont really have time to be a sysadmin, I just want it to work. Does anyone have a provider they use that actually handles this kind of setup well without breaking the bank? Or am I just gonna have to bite the bullet and go with a more expensive VPS and learn how to manage it all myself...

Late to the party, but honestly, managed hosting for niche stuff like OpenClaw is a total nightmare. I tried SiteGround GrowBig Shared Hosting and unfortunately it was not as good as expected for custom environments. Are you running this via Docker or trying to build from source? If you are willing to learn a little, a Vultr Cloud Compute 2GB RAM instance is super cheap and might save you those monthly headaches.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have been super happy with Linode Shared CPU 4GB RAM for this. Its rock solid, cheap, and handles everything I throw at it without any crashes.

Honestly, skip the shared host headache and just move to DigitalOcean droplets. In my experience, they make deployments so much easier and you'll stop dealing with those constant crashing issues.

Honestly, I feel your pain. Dealing with shared hosting for anything custom is just asking for a migraine. I switched over to Hetzner Cloud CX22 a few months ago and its been super stable so far. Before you jump ship though, are you trying to deploy this using containers or are you setting up a custom environment manually? If you go with a VPS, definitely look into using something like Coolify to handle the deployments. It makes managing everything feel way less like being a sysadmin and more like just clicking a few buttons. Saved me a ton of time tbh.
