What are you guys running for support builds lately? I have been maining a tactical support role for like two years now and I thought I had the meta down, but this new raid tier is absolutely wrecking my squad. I usually spec into pure cooldown reduction and aura buffs but my healing output is just not scaling with these new boss mechanics. I have about 50k gold saved up to respec my gear sets so I need something that actually works by this weekend. Should I be dropping the aura focus and going full battery-pack or is there a better hybrid option? Feel like im missing something obvious here...

Honestly, focusing purely on cooldowns isnt cutting it for these new bosses. The damage spikes are just too massive. I swapped my setup a few weeks ago and Im honestly really happy with how it handles the current content. My squad stopped dying instantly once I shifted toward flat mitigation and burst heals instead of constant, low-impact aura buffs. You dont need to go full battery pack, but you definitely need more survivability. Here is what I have been running lately:

  • Aegis Tactical Support Module V4 for the active shield burst which saves the party during phase transitions.
  • Vertex Cooldown Relic Pro 15% to keep my main utility skills up without sacrificing armor slots. Basically, stop trying to buff everyone constantly and just save your big cooldowns for the actual boss mechanics. The aura stuff is fine for mob clearing, but for these raid tiers, you need to be reactive. My healing output feels much more consistent now that I focus on target-specific burst healing rather than trying to keep a global buff up 100 percent of the time. Save that gold and just pick up the module, it really works well and I have had no complaints from the group so far. Just focus on your positioning and dont panic when the health bars drop.

To add to the point above: mitigation is fine, but you're gonna burn out your mana pool if you dont have sustain. I honestly think pure mitigation is a trap for this raid tier. I have been running a shield-generator hybrid and it feels way more consistent for keeping the squad alive.

  • AuraTech Shield-Pro Mark VII is basically essential if you want to soak those mechanics without constant spamming.
  • BatteryPack Energizer X-1000 solves the sustain issue while keeping your output high. If you drop the pure aura focus for these, you'll see a massive difference. I'm really happy with how this setup handles the boss phase transitions. It just works well compared to the old cooldown meta, which is basically dead now...

Can confirm this works. Did the same thing on mine and its been solid ever since.
